| Understand there may be half a dozen Broncos first team squad members playing including a return to Pennine Way by Hemel's own Dan Sargison. Pity he's not one of Hemel's dual-reg players this season.
Pennine is still not complete as a ground - the recent snows have played havoc with building work - but all is on course for the ground to be in tip top shape for the first CC1 match on March 17

| It would be good if a number got along to Hemel tomorrow.Starting a semi-pro team is tough and they will need all the help they can get. If the three new teams are a success it would boost the game in the south tremendously. It will also be good to see the kids in action. I wonder which players will be sent out on dual-reg?

| Nice gesture by the club - I would be gobsmacked if Sargy does any dual-reg games this season. Though I guess TR has not yet seen him at his best. When fit he is one of our best prospects.

The effing heat diffuser decided to fall off the bottom of the jalopy on the way down to the match so I missed it- grrrrrrrrrrr. Ruddy cars...

You didn't miss much! Broncos had 39 listed to play with Hemel on 28! There were 3 thirds of 30 mins with a lot of changes! Sarginson and Cook had cameo appearances with Oscar Thomas running the show for the first third. Not surprising Hemel were more coherent but no side used the fierce wind well.
Hemel were the better handlers and looked like they had a decent side, the Skolars kids were mainly one-up and were under-cooked. I woud say there were 400 there if you counted the players!

| Watched first two sets of 30mins. Then the cold got too much for my youngest too.
Some interesting players. Hemels first No9 looked very good.
Our kids had a few good players but some still learning one. One looked scared with the ball in hand!
Hopefully i will get back to watch Hemel abit more.
Roll on Super League!

| Enjoyed the day out, also only caught the first two 30 minutes as I had a cold child plus the rather important matter of getting home in time to see Oldham knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup.
Was sat in front of Tony Rea and his family for the first period - it was nice to hear his little one pretty much using the same dialogue as mine - "it's cold", "when's half time?".
The parking was,as expected,a headache if you turn up near to kick off but I've found myself a nice little spot not too far away for the rest of the season. Also, they need to get the food queues moving faster at half time. Apart from those little niggles it was exciting to be there at the start of the new semi-pro era, those who have put in the donkey work at the club over the years must be feeling so proud
