He's our best signing so far I believe. Not sure he can play centre, but if he can, then it's a bonus. Putting him on the wing outside Howell would be my preference, with Melling at full back. Not sure what we'd do on the other side though.

My memories of him from the challenge cup game last year are certainly positive. As said, the most exciting signing by some margin.

For a change, lets get behind the way the club are recruiting for next season. If our new British signings are willing to give rugby in London a go, hopefully word will get back to the player's not willing to leave the North, that being down here is not a step backwards.
For the first time in a while, I am starting to feel positive about the way the club are going, & providing our core player's, perform to their potential, I can't see next season being the disaster that some of the "Doom Mongers" on this site keep predicting.
My only concern would be that our youngster's get the needle at not getting a shot at the first team ahead of the youngsters we have brought in, but maybe they will see this as a challenge & so develop & improve their own game.

I would play O'Callaghan on the wing anyway. Bishop to Centre or full back.
May hopefully will get more experience this season at Centre and hopefully come through to the first team so both should be happy imo.
As far as Northern players are concerned young single players trying to get into SL see us as an opportunity. We will play them, and they havnt got the ties, disruption or costs that an established and married SL player has so their thinking is different when it comes to uprooting and moving south.

true, but then maybe it's what persuades players to join us rather than other squads. also Leeds' first team is so stacked that you have to be a pretty obscene youth player to break through, leaves a lot of players looking at moving on.
