Those who don't know it's about a mile from Barnet and next to the A1. Our chairman has looked at several sites for a 10k stadium in the area but 20k sounds to big for us.
It's a strange one as it's slap bang in the middle of Saracens territory so I'm not sure how happy several groups would be if it turns out to be Wasps.

I was secretly hoping TK and DH were planning something together but I doubt it. Plus if you think the area around the Hive is bad, you should see Borehamwood.

Borehamwood is the only place I have had a police escort back to the railway station after a non league football match. Boreham Wood FC have an ambitious Chairman but this is too big for them. Total guess but could Leyton Orient be involved?

Hmm, really doubt Leyton Orient would face the wrath of moving to North West London, as their fans like the be known as the real east end team than West Ham perhaps, ha.....Has got to be Wasps or London Irish-both desperately wanting come back closer to London after seeing what Saracens have done o reckon.

Historically it's in Saracens area, do they own the Allianz or is it a lease? I heard that Wasps were trying to get into bed with Brentford.

Have played cricket in Borehamwood on many occasions - distinct lack of pubs

Either way, it's unlikely we'll be asked to grace it and even if we were. we couldn't afford the rent.

If you play at Borehamwood, you could hang around and be extras in Eastenders.

Some of last season's squad were very adept at hanging around being extras.

It was pretty bad going as a parent to a kids match there. All the talk on Sunday morning was of a very local (on the estate) gun crime the night before.

I'm guessing the likely site is where the football pitches are now, right up against the junction of Rowley Lane with the A1. Nowhere near any public transport.
If it is an RU club it's more likely to be Wasps. It's the wrong side of London for London Irish, who in any case look quite settled in Berkshire.

If it is the existing football ground it could be Boreham Wood FC and Arsenal. Arsenal ladies play there already. The F.A are trying to grow women's football. Throw in the possible entry of Arsenal Reserves into the football league and they may want a bigger stadium. 20k still sounds too big though so I'd say it is a long shot.
