Im gaining optimism from the fact the injury/absence situation can only get better. Howell one more game, Cougar back next week, Dorn due back, ditto Purdo. Orr, Hecks, Chad????

If we do make the 8 and get all our players back you would hope that they would be fresh and ready to go.

This time last year not many would have picked Leeds to win the GF. Im not suggesting we will but Im hoping we have a good shot at it.

Come on DL.....no bodyswerve.....arrange a pole for the posters, something along the lines of all things considered, how the team and BM are performing, perceived progress or lack of etc etc

What on McDermott being given the push?

I think you have to take a number of factors into account such as-

Final position- vital
Injuries during the season
His standing in the club ie players and management
Future player development
Can he take the club further- strategy, ideas etc maybe through an interview with the board
The clubs owners aspirations- see the line above- do they dovetail
Club philosophy ie do we want a young English coach
His signings performances against what we let go- Mclinden etc

It's easy to have a go when you are down on your luck- No one was calling for his head when we put 60 past the Wire on what was a fantastic day

So in response to your question Im not in a position to answer.

As I say I dont know enough.

Im with you 3 seasons without making the play offs would be a disappointment but!!!!!! the club may have a longer term plan ie last year we cleared out Hill, Mclinden, Rinaldi etc and have used more young English players this year. That will naturally take to time become successful if that is the plan.

Just a thought.
