Will Hendo target games are go full on for everyone??

Full tilt to try to win, if we don't we won't. Or worse we'll end up with injuries. Suspect that the SL teams generally will be too big and strong for us in reality. At the end I don't think we'll be there. However I will be disappointed if we don't play to our potential regardless of the final result.

It's a real difficult thing for a team to go into a game holding back, it ends up with more injuries. Hendo has to go into the game hoping for a win but in reality knowing it's unlikely. The team however can still gain from a loss, as long as they don't get steam rollered. Stay within 20 points of em I would see as a success

Sadly I can't see anything other than a 30+ Catalans win.

But I'm a pessimist so....

Need to defend well, the importance of points difference, could split 5th and 6th places.

We would do better making sure we post points against em, it is there defence that has been lacking thus year.

We must be competitive, and I don't believe Henderson the players or anyone else at the club will go in thinking we are going to lose so lets play within ourselves.

Its a tough ask to expect a win, but Catalan have an appalling defensive record, have collapsed frequently at home this season, so we need to do two things:

- be strong defensively;
- try and get a lead and undermine Catalans confidence.

McNamara hasn't had a great start as a coach, so again, get a good start, get the crowd on McNamaras back.............. and be Optomsitic

I'm being realistic, points difference cost us last year

It will be controlling the tendency to give away stupid penalties which will define how well we do against the SL teams.

The thing is the main reason we tend to give penalties away is because we can't win the ruck and lie on and keep hands on the ball trying to slow down the ptb and give time for the defensive line to set. The SL teams will be much much quicker at gaining there feet

NB I was thinking that. A number of champ forwards have beaten us in the ruck. SL will dominate and thus be very fast getting away, which may catch us out. The frogs are traditionally nasty to add to that

Happy enough to drag Catalan into a battle, as has been said in the Rl papers, Catalan are the most penalised team in the comp, so let's try and earn the penalties.
For a number of seasons we have been poor in controlling the ruck. A quick ptb wins mtrs, how often do we see our players finishing the ruck on hands and knees? How often do we see our tacklers putting the ball carrier on his back facing his own line? It's all about technique in both attack and defence.
