Really sad news - an outgoing and committed supporter, Alf was one the pillars on which the LBSA was built. His health had suffered for a good few years but he didn't let it get in the way of what he wanted to do.
I remember the last meeting in the Old Kings Head where I honestly couldn't believe he had made the trip, let alone climbed up those stairs!
