When I lived in London it bothered me that we seemed to get bugger all, but since I've started traveling to NRL games its patently obvious. I agree with orangeman. I too remember reading stats where the most penalised teams in Super League (remember those days!) were London and Catalans.

And the only time I've ever commented to my girlfriend that we were getting all the 50/50s was at a Magic Weekend when we were playing Catalans.
