Quote: Smithers99 "Halifax appear to have buggered up the chance of a London Top Six finish by beating Featherstone today. The home match in a fortnight was a good opportunity to make London favourites for a play-off spot with a victory. I guess with Halifax and Widnes still to play at home, there remains a chance to push them both out of the way. Sheffield look to be on the slide with some tough games to come. Just maybe away to Sheffield could be a big match and maybe a more realistic way into the top 6 rather than jumping Halifax or Bradford. Not sure Batley will lose enough; they appear to be the only team London could overhaul on points difference, but that's unlikely to come into consideration.
The York home defeat really hasn't helped.'"
I wonder if Cas will make a play to bring Lingard in full time. I guess he'd be reticent to step away from Batley before the end of the season, but would maybe play into our hands if he did. Got to be impressed with Widnes still hanging in the top 8, with all the disruption and off field dramas they've had.
Only caught the tail end of the game yesterday, but sounded as though we were good value for the win.
