Quote: orangeman "As we head for the 4th month of the season, it would seem that all emphasis has switched from "self sufficiency in 2026" to "let's say nothing and hopefully we can start again next year"
Ticket prices have already been adjusted "downwards", but there appears to be little activity to attract new fans.
Social media, be that Facebook, Twitter of the club site is a shambles, with little if any relevant and up to date information available. Match reports appear 2 days after the game, whilst score updates during games are either sporadic or piggy-backed off the opponents sites. Links on the club website are either broken or incorrect, with even the new ticketing prices not updated and the "wire frame" of the site itself is amateur.
The average number of likes the club get to a tweet is 31 this season....our facebook page is infeected with trolls offering snide links and our email system is ignored.
This is just 4 months since David Hughes said .yet the silence is deafening.
So the question is, what is going on at the London Broncos RLFC?
Yes rapidly becoming a complete mess off the field as opposed to on it - although as you say still a lot to do there as well. I’ve said before and I think it may be true we have a one man back room staff and he leaves in a few days. Complete silence could be the new norm. Hardly a relaunch is it?
The drop in likes on Twitter tells a story of customer disengagement and the fact the club no longer prune the almost entirely negative comments on recent posts tells a story about club disengagement. With apologies to the guy on the other forum who spotted it,and just to add to the grimness of it all, check out the game day/platinum lounge tab and see what game is being touted there. It makes the Bradford/York banner fiasco look positively competent.
Bearing in mind how complicated it is to buy a ticket for the Bradford game 250 is not a bad result. But where from there? I think we have only 4 home games in 4 months and one of those is a Friday night game. I’m no mystic Meg but attendance at that will be terrible. How can you build momentum on that even if we were semi competent.
If we get through this I think the club will be stronger because it’s in a right state at the minute and things do look very bad. Skolars season starts soon and we’ll be able to assess the damage we have done to them.
