2 things occur to me on this.
1) if the current CM is leaving end of March that is a tight turnaround.
2) what’s the plan? Are we sticking as is or is the new CM going to do new stuff? If the latter then its difficult to see the path for that bearing in mind that between April 3 and July 3 we have only two home games and one of those is a night fixture where attendance is always down and, of course, by then we could very easily be 0-7- a difficult sell. To me the most attractive batch of games that we could push via adverts etc take place in August and September but by then the season is over bar the shouting so seems a funny time to try a re-relaunch or reinvigoration.
It’s the good the club are doing this.We made the Comms manager (is that right) role redundant (I think) and appear to have been muddling through ever since. This will plug that gap if I understand correctly. Of course we are a quarter of the way though the season and it’s not joined up with the big re-launch but there we are.
Its good to see this, but it is not so much closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, but more closing the stable door after the Horse has bolted, travelled to dover, got on a ferry and was last seen somewhere in the vicinity of Budapest
So lobster will be going through CVs this week for a commerical manager and a social media bod.......both jobs closed on the 27th of Feb which was an insanely short campaign pointing to indecent haste being required.
Therefore I expect appointments with the minimal of fuss (interviews/reference checks) and new staff "relishing the challenge"......too soon to make an impact for York at home, but I'd expect Bradford at home to crack 2k or more with Bradford bringing half....
