| Quote BigTime="BigTime"I’ve said before it’s really easy to spend someone else’s money but DH could, if he felt we were going to drop out the league, snap up some players of the requisite standard in a few weeks time as players realise that aren’t in their manager’s thoughts for regular game time. Who knows we might even be able to buy/loan some British players or some of those London/nonheartland players we heard about a few months back. Teams like Dewsbury and Workington don’t have that luxury. But what happens next season that s the question.'"
I think one of the other problems we have is we do not have any dual regisration with a SL team. Most of the M62 clubs have dual registration which allows them to bring in fringe SL players. Our dual registration seems to be the other way where we bring in league one players.

Yes we have a reverse DR which is the worst of both worlds for both clubs. Very, very strange. I suggest we discontinue it.

I dunno, maybe there was an agenda: killed Broncos, killed Skolars.
Like I said, well done Dave.

| I wonder if the alarm bells are ringing at the RFL. Both London clubs are in trouble.

| I'm sure there may be some concern but the louder voice will always be that we told you so, London is a waste. Those are the voices of those that think the game can survive in their little patch of northern grassland. In reality, the majority of corporate sponsors want national coverage (club or country) not the M62+. That is partly why they will pump money into football, Union & cricket rather than league or other minor sports.

That is how I see it. They really do have their heads buried in the sand.

| Even if there is concern the sport has very little money. The only other thing they can really offer is advice. We all know how receptive Broncos usually are to outside advice.

| I think the RFL will just muddle along until DH actually pulls the plug, and then they will still do nothing. As I said I expect Skolars will be around next year (and stronger) as they will probably have most of the Broncos part time players back.
LB on the other hand, I really do not see DH funding a L1 team. If they get relegated then thats it, end of club. In this case its what do the RFL do?

| The only issue for RFL might be Broncos’ decision to whole scale plunder Skolars seemingly so they can run a Reserve team. IMO Skolars now have a side that is not up to L1 standards and that degrades the competition. Quite why Broncos want a reserve team now is more difficult to understand - if it contains only ex Skolars then I’d rather they played for Skolars. As for them being an asset to a Championship side no one is buying that.

Great player. If only we had that quality these days.
