Quote: Halfdan of t'wide embrace "If he has been booted I'm going to go against the flow and say I feel sorry for him. I'm on record as disagreeing with a lot (probably the vast majority) he did and will never forgive him for dismissing a late friend of mine who had offered advice for free as irrelevant on the basis he was "just a librarian". Yup, but he was a librarian who chose to stay as such despite winning two national fan engagement awards as a volunteer. To the best of my knowledge Broncos haven't ever won one.
However; a reliable birdie tells me that some of Jimmy's ideas for the relaunch were blocked by someone above, I don't know who. He hadn't got everything right ( probably being kind) but he was showing signs of learning from his errors and had some good ideas - that never made it public.
This may not be quite as day/night as it looks at first glance.'"
I tend to agree. My gut feeling is he had a wide portfolio to deal with. Probably too wide and handled by a number of people in the past. So, good, bad or indifferent if he’s not around then things now won’t get done at all which is not exactly a plus at this time in the season and this stage of the relaunch. In many ways it could be said to be another poor management decision unless it was driven by him and not the club. As I’ve said before it felt like a small back office team already so let’s hope Broncos don’t dawdle in getting a replacement or replacements and that they don’t try and cut corners because you do get what you pay for.
