Quote: Riverside Red "Surely the “kiwi” is packing his bags after being appointed on a 15 year contract (the amount of time he has had the chip on his shoulder) before flying in for a hero’s welcome as the clubs new commercial messiah at Plough Lane on Sunday.'"
Not sure where the "chip on the shoulder" comes from? As far as I know,
[iEVERYTHING[/i "the kiwi" predicted would happen to the club if it didn't sort itself out in terms of marketing has come to be.
15 years ago we had 4,500 fans as an average, played in a purpose built Rugby Stadium, with a welcoming landlord, a Rugby CEO in Paul Brown and a chance to put down some real local roots in TW2 whilst not alienating the fans we'd picked up in TW8......a 10 minute drive away.
When "the kiwi" left to become "the kiwi" he mused about flowers and a 5k average.....all through hard work and shoe leather with little expense.........
Fast forward to today.
The club doesn't need a commercial hero or a messiah.....it needs to be euthanized
