Quote Deadcowboys1="Deadcowboys1"AFC seem to be trying to boost our crowds by themselves being dumped out of the FA Cup & after last night's lose at MK Dons, now only 2 points & 1 place outside the relegation places after such a good start to the season. Do have a couple of games in hand but could be a long old season. Doubt they would want to follow 2 failing teams though.'"
Honestly don't believe the league position of AFC Wimbledon will determine if their supporters watch the Broncos or not. AFC Wimbledon are probably a border League 1/2 team anyway. They could get relegated, but that's deemed acceptable as part of a long term plan.
Having just opened a 30 million pound stadium, prudent financial decisions are priority.
How many AFC Wimbledon supporters will watch Broncos matches I’ve no idea, but it makes sense to attempt to get them in with this offer. It is a fan base with a lot of money, so engaging with them is worth doing. How many will enjoy the experience enough to return is the million dollar question.
AFC Wimbledon soft launched a new bond just before Christmas, which means only supporters following unofficial social media closely are aware of it. It directly replaces the previous bond which exceeded 6 million. Currently the new bond is over £600,000 with official publication of it’s existent imminent. It is of course a loan (albeit a friendly loan) but does have a minimum investment of five years. An attraction is not just providing the club a medium term loan, but the offer of 6% annual interest.
In other words the money is there, it’s upto the Broncos to attract it to their team.
