We can add the HAC to the list & of course Wealdstone FC where we played quite a lot of games. I'm beginning to think it might be easier to list where we haven't called home!
I have a feeling that at some stage between 1980 & 1984, due to a bad winter with many games postponed, we played 1 or 2 home games in the north to save the team coming down. Widnes would be logical because of Reggie or maybe Swinton. There was also a Lancashire Cup game V Warrington held at Wigan but don't remember the circumstances around that.'"
The Widnes games were season 82/83, against Swinton and Huddersfield on 12th. and 14th. April, we also played our last game of the season against Cardiff on Cup Final eve at Stamford Bridge. The problem was the appalling state of the pitch at Craven Cottage which turned out to be due to the drain carrying the water off the pitch into the river having collapsed. In 84/85 we played three games at Wealdstone F.C.'s old ground - seen RL played in some interesting places in my time!
