Quote: BRONCO BILLY "I must have been watching a different match to Nadera.
Agree with his players to praise but I thought Pellisier was quite good. Quick at the play of the ball which got our forwards flying on, helping to stop the Halifax pack coming at us. Hopefully he'll get even better once the others get used to his style of play & he gels with the team.'"
One of Pellisier's attributes has always been a quick scoot from dummy half, and that's a good thing when used at the right time. Unfortunately, watching on Sunday, he had a really unfortunate habit of taking 2 or 3 steps diagonally forward at the ruck before then passing the ball to first receiver. All that does is reduce the space between our attack and the oncoming defensive line, which makes it harder for the halves to actually do anything when they receive the ball. The defence is on top of them immediately. The hooker needs to either run or pass from the ruck, one or the other, but do it quickly and decisively.
It may just be him needing time to settle in, he's only been here a week after all. Or it could be one of the reasons his career flatlined a couple of years back and he ended up back in France. We'll have to wait and see.
