GF could be annoying, but his ideas on marketing were generally pretty sound, decades ahead of the club itself. I gave up my season tickets when we left the Stoop (The Hive and Trailfinders are nice enough grounds but way too convoluted to get to more than a couple of times a season). I get more contact from Harlequins RU, who I have no interest in, than I do from London Broncos. During the Stoop years I ended up on Quins RU mailing list and they've kept me there. Considering I've repeatedly bought tickets for the Broncos online, and was a season ticket holder for many years, they rarely trouble me with offers.

It's neither here not there really.....£30,000 of ST revenue doesn't bother the writer of cheques one way or the other so.long as he gets to watch "his" team...and £30,000 is me being generous.

No....not at all. I am appalled by the Demise of the club I support due to the indifferent attitudes of fans who blindly accept the whim of the owner. Its a crime.....I sat this afternoon in central Sydney and watched hundreds of buses collect swans fans taking them to their game tonight......there is an NRL triple header on today but the swans will still draw fans and that's how you transplant a sport......not as a toy for a rich bloke with no skills other than gambling on commodities.....

Aren't all RL Clubs rich mens toys? With the exception of Leeds possibly.The Hull KR board (just the one season so far in Champ) reportedly costing them £1 million a season not being in SL.
Our own owner DB was pitching in £50k per month prior to SL in order to keep us afloat,and still throwing money at it.

Indeed they are. Warrington and St Helens being more successful examples. More income from fans but somewhere along the line someone is covering the gap.
