Mate not disagreeing, he was the wrong man at the time, he didn't have the experience or skills, but it's gone! D Powell! Would he have got anymore out of the bunch of players we had at the time? Not convinced! We all know the whole club was not in a good place, some choose to put all the blame on one person that's up to them.
We have had better coaches! We have had worse than hendo, IMO he is a decent coach but suggesting the best we have had am not sure. Hope he stays though we need the stability at the moment.
Both coached in Super League. Tony Currie was coach in 1996 when Super League kicked off. Stayed until 1998
For 1999 Dan Stains took over, got us to the Cup Final and later in the season was sacked.
Les Kiss took over, I think with Tony Rea for the rest of that season.
In 2000 John Monie became coach, only to be sacked and Tony Rae took over as caretaker coach. Rae took the job fulltime for the next season.
