HKR scored all but one of there tries of our penalties. We need to get on top of that.

HKR are nowhere near as good as Leigh were last year. The will get picked off by teams as we go through the season. The pass round the back to the right was the only attacking move they had.

Early days, nothings won in Feb.

Didn't expect a win and thought KR would overrun us in the 2nd half- but they didn't! Was impressed with how we dug in and pushed them all the way. Shame about the penalty count- still feel the 50/50 decisions went against us, almost inevitably. Purcell was excellent I thought. The

There is no question they did. We committed suicide with the penalties we gave away.

2nd competitive game for an almost new look side against the team that are odds on to push us all the way for 1st, yet still came away with the victory in a below par performance. How many times are you hoping we'll be picked off?

This team is still to get in to its stride, and we'll be very hard to beat in another 5 games or so when the team comes together more.

In one breath you say its a new side that has hardly plaid in the other its under performance, How do you know??

Because the potential is there for all to see. This team plays at a quicker pace then that of our SL class of 2016. The potential is there, it may not get fulfilled, but going on the basis of potential, then that was a below par performance. Our second rowers for instance are proven performers at SL level and are yet to have a decent game so far, but it will come.

In reality the 50/50 calls were not 50/50 they were justified calls, we lost the game pure and simple.
but looking at the positives, if we are led to believe that KR are going run away with this comp then on todays performance we are not a long way behind. We played at a gear higher than anything last year, I think our defence was actually pretty good, and as said most tries came off the back of penalties.
