The salary cap rules probably do need changing, then implement the change for 2017 season. That way it is fair on everybody.
Doing what they have done is wrong and more people need to stand up and be counted.

As for the general assertion, I don't think that Beaumont is the issue here. The RFL cut and paste a concept from Swiss Soccer not allowing for the reality that Leigh and Halifax aren't Geneva or Bern and polite and civilised debate isn't the done thing (or london judging by your insult above). He should have been slapped down straight away but instead, it now looks like he bullied the RFL, adding to the frail image of the sport in general when a tin pot club can call the shots.

Much as I think Derek is great for Leigh, sometimes I wish he didn't always have to have the last word, he's got what he wants just leave it be (though to be fair he made these comments as an aside at the fan's Q&A evening, he's not gone shouting to the RL press). However I do agree with him, I don't see what Henderson can complain about. The issue was raised back in September, discussed by the clubs in October & approved the 1st week of November, everyone has known it's been coming for 3 months so to claim it's come out the blue & too late is nonsense. He's had plenty of time to recruit players and there are players still available now, we've signed Chase & Tonga and there's talk of one more, Craig Hall has left Wakefield & is supposedly coming to The Championship, Bradford & Fev are both still on the look out for another player reading their forums so November isn't too late at all.
