Let's lay an urban myth to rest here shall we?
My first 2 posts on this topic.....
Quote: jaybs "For anyone interested, pretty comprehensive details about the facilities here
rlhttps://www.tfsc.co.uk/rl
As with ANY ground we play at, there will be the usual avalanche of "it's a bugger to get to" type posts, so just to head the whiners off at the pass
FOLLOWED BY.....
Quote: jaybs "Like the Hive, the biggest stumbling block for development is the neighbours. It's a pretty nice area and I would suspect if they do develop it, then it won't be any higher than the current 2 storey stand. The Seating at one end behind the sticks can be replicated at the other end so it could probably stretch to a 3k seat stadium......but never a SL standard ground.
The Union lads are clothes by under armour, so hopefully we get to see some decent replica and leisure wear in the shop. Will Trailfinders sponsor us next year?
Here's the stand behind the sticks at the Vallis Way End which holds 480...notice that it's lower than the tree line.
This is opposite the main grandstand...I believe there are 120 seats here on match days, either side of the dugouts. No treelines apparent to block the view from the houses at the rear, so planning could prove tricky
'"
THEN YOUR FIRST INPUT.
Quote: jaybs "I will wait until we get all the Facts, on paper (if true) it's not a very good prospect, ironic when Leeds Rhino's are so keen to play Wigan Warriors in London this breaks?
Supporter owned club, is there any real evidence there is there is a real thirst for this? would those involved be able to really raise the funds needed, where would the club be based then? how would you replace the real money Hughes has and is putting in? why we have never been able to break through with other investors I can't understand, when a man with money goes from London to Bradford to buy into rugby.
It is only the last few seasons that we kept hearing here how The Skolars was the future, what are they doing currently? perhaps the game will only ever be amateur in the South do we have to accept it? seeing Oxford beat as they were at the weekend with a record score, one journalist said straight after the match, Swinton break records Great, is it great.
As a sport we have been fed and so many believe we The Greatest Game, one that attendances are still dropping, a Challenge Cup that attendances are a disgrace and a top semi is taken to a ground that holds 13,024? just to make it look good on TV, play it on a Friday night kick off 7.45pm a time that fits BBC TV, try getting across the M62 at that time on a Friday. The Academy League is rumoured to be reduced to 8 teams? many clubs joining together? who does a real talented player sign for, which club? The game itself so predictable with the kicking on the last tackle, scrums which are a joke, last Friday night watching Sky I turned off with 15 minutes to go I was bored.'"
Your post has nothing to do with the move to Ealing other than you waiting for it to be announced officially. You then wander off into the musings of a tired and depressed RL fan bemoaning the state of the game across the board.
Ergo. This thread as with a great deal of other threads gets derailed by people like you who prepare to shoot the messenger rather than accept what he is saying has some value.

| Aspuoea feel free to toddle off and do that then mate, some of us actually like watching rugby league so personally can't see the appeal of option 3.
Not sure if you realise it's your choice to watch or not.

| Interesting that Trailfinders have a number of secondary pitches which may well meet our needs if we continue to attract fewer fans than Championship 1 clubs.

| Aspuoea, your option three is no option for me. Like Mickey I too enjoy watching Rugby League. It is my choice and I will continue to do so until such time as I decide not to..
So you go and join The Ramblers Association or get a caravan if you want to. I will continue to do what I choose to do.

| Slightly OT, sorry, but interesting that 100 miles or so to the west, one of our many former CEOs is still showing plenty of ambitionLionelHurst @hurstlhurst 17h17 hours ago
#rugbyleague @allgolds wish to purchase up to 20 acres of land in Gloucestershire to develop RL home. Funds available.
