Quote Perry="Perry"There is no clique, but there was a personally abusive poster who resorted to thinly disguised expletives when he could no longer resolve the conflict between his enormous ego and limited vocabulary.'"
People that feel uncomfortable with what is being stated normally resort to accusing the deliverer of having a big ego, or even a hidden agenda. There was and I still believe is, a perfectly serviceable "ignore" function on this forum for those who prefer to live in a "cloistered" world, protected from images of Mackay on his knees in front of Hughes, which I believe was something that the poster in question claimed was a possibility and you reacted to with overzealous righteous indignation.
Quote Perry="Perry"I clearly identified that it was a rumour and never claimed to have inside knowledge.'"
As you seem to be one of 2 contributors in this thread and elsewhere on the internet in regards to the Broncos, the other being an aficionado on all things, AK/Hive/Barnet and given you started it, you either got the information from a fortune cookie, or from your newly re-engaged club (See JG thread).
Quote Perry="Perry"But like the aforementioned poster you seem quite happy to distort what people write on here for your own purposes.'"
Ah....the "hidden agenda" as alluded to above.
Firstly, the rumour came from somewhere and as I've pointed out, you are one of 2 reporting it with the other being very much in the know at the Hive.
Nest, The only "agenda" I have is to see a stable RL club emerge from the farce that Hughes has created. Unlike the ever decreasing number of fans at games (there is a connection between lack of traffic on here and fans at games which some posters seem to struggle with), I will not shrug and say "he's all we've got". If he's seriously interested in getting the club on a stable footing, then he needs to employ someone qualified for the role (Paul Brown?) as GM/CEO. He needs to make it clear the timelines involved before his exit and the funds available and then, most importantly, he needs to step back and let the appointed person get on with it.
Oh...he also has to have assistance from the RFL and other RL clubs with regard to the interview and appointment of the person described above. Salford are learning for themselves, it's one thing having a passionate owner with loads of cash, but a whole different ball game when said owner hasn't a clue what they are doing.
