Quote kit80="kit80"I could be mistaken, but I think our best seasons for attendances were '96/'97. Bring back Richard Branson!
'"
You are correct. Problem is, that was 1 year, not a period of time.
The Only ground where we GREW attendances was Griffin Park, but the 4 Year period where we had the most fans was 2006-2009.
Quote kit80="Colly2"We should be taking all opportunities whether we create them or someone else does. Sadly, we don't seem interested in growing the club at all. We have no income besides a Sky parachute payment and the sale of 200 replica shirts. The Sheffield game is a massive opportunity but I can't see any effort being put into turning that into something special.'"
Indeed, but Hughes has abdicated any need to promote games and put the club on a healthy footing by slashing admin costs and swapping income for pitch rental. We still PAY for offices and Training facilities, Travel and all the other things required and he will be stumping up 1 million or so to cover that this year, but what happens next year when we don't have the extra wedge from the RFL and our current agreement with the landlord expires?
The Supporters group have had more contact with me regarding Heritage Day this week than the club have. Hughes just doesn't care so long as he can watch his team!
