| A comfortable win for us (36-14) and some good plays by the academy boys but I wonder what would the score have been if it wasn't for all those dropped balls and infringement penalties we gave away? And a shame we also conceded 2 tries in the last 10 minutes. All in all it was so brilliant to see us WIN even if the oppo (almost full strength I believe) wasn't the best. And yes... the away kit was last years.

| Away kit is certainly last year's away kit, saves on the pennies then.
Overall view of the game, not a bad hit out, skolars looked pretty good to be honest, fairly well drilled.
Positives for us: some good go forward with the lads hitting the line hard. Field kicking pretty good, one 40-20 rest put in the right place. Defence pretty solid, did not spot any glaring missed tackles and goal line defence good. Support play on a line break good.
Negatives: 9 dropped ball, penalty count 3 offsides, 3 offences at the ptb. Couple of ball losses on first tackle. 4 missed conversions. A couple of panic plays.
Lots of the youngsters playing with mathers sat in the stand, happy with the result though.
Skolars have a decent pitch to play on and a bloody good crowd for a friendly.

| 2 of the Knock ons, no excuse I know but 1 looked very much like hands in and one was a fluffed PTB, not making an excuse by the way.
It was a bit disappointing to see the "other" London team score twice more at the end.
looking forward to next week and see how we fair against the Rams.

| seem to me that we need to smarten up at the PTB area. Penalties in both warm up matches to date.........let's hope they sort it out before the competition starts, because if we get a reputation for it, we'll be hammered by the Championship refs, who by all accounts aren't the best.

| refs are not the best by all accounts!!!! who's accounts?
The knock on at the PTB was an incorrect PTB kicking it forward, trying to be too quick
Penalties, 3 at PTB was actually not as bad as I was expecting after the chat last week. Difficult to make that much of a comment as to opinions on hands in or not as you are a fair distance from the play at New River, Jamie B did seem to be allowing a fair bit of time and laying on but it was the same for both sides so that's all you can ask for. they were all early on as well so testing the ref.
Guys need to start making an effort to get to their feet after the tackle, hands and knees is ok but movement to regain is what is needed to force the issue.
Dropping the ball so much was the main negative, possession is key.

| I thought the ref (Jamie Bloem according to the programme) was OK today. Mind you it was a much slower game than much of the stuff you see in SL but our defence was better than I've witnessed in years although in the last 20 minutes it was all academy players on the pitch. Spilling the ball as much as we did was my biggest bugbear coming out of this game.

| Given that the Broncos were mainly fringe 1st grade and U19s I thought they should be pretty pleased with how they went today. I thought it would be rather closer based on how Skolars went against Wigan 9 days before. Skolars were fairly solid if lacking in creativity, but Broncos defended well, especially against the big forwards, and showed good pace and footwork. I thought Oliver Thomas was excellent in organising the team and Macani and Morris (who always plays well against Skolars) were always dangerous.

Thomas was excellent, assured and cool, a good pass, a good kicking game and backed up well for his try. Macani looks back to his best and I was impressed with Dwyer at hooker who is on loan form Warrington. Broncos were hungry and Mr Grima has a good pool of talent to work with.
