I thought the Sam Hopkins story had no substantiation whatsoever, as there has been no remarks made from the two clubs, Sam or in any other media outlet.
But there has been two mentions on Twitter - one of which is a squad list provided by Ian Ramsdale - whilst the other is a link to a website showing his name with "London Broncos" underneath.
I cannot help but think that maybe a programming error in that Lee Hopkins used to play for Broncos and maybe the database as that in the reference data leaving Rammo as the only other credible commentator.
One more I need to add to the next update is that we apparently offered cash for one of the Doncaster half backs according to last week's League Express. His name escapes me but he is about 22 and played for Hull KR. The offer was declined apparently

Thats a shame if he's a decent player. I guess this must have been before we moved for Drinkwater. Guess since we have signed Josh and Farrar we will have moved on now. Wonder if they'd taken the money if he would have moved? |

| I'll find the story again, but the gist was that we offered cash for Danny Nicklas, he wanted to come, but Doncaster wouldn't sell.
The story was reported a couple of Mondays ago, so this is at least 10 days old and since then we have signed Gigot and Drinkwater.
It would have been Danny's third crack at becoming a Super League regular but alas not to be. He could have been the new Luke Gale.  |
