On the face of it, it sounds great that we have signed an experienced prop in Ross and I really hope he goes well for us. I just hope that TR has done his homework on this guy, his injury issues etc, as we have been taken for a ride before or at the very least had supposedly good players not live up to their billing. People normally retire for good reasons and I do wonder whether physically and mentally he will be in good shape to provide what we need. If he cannot do a job for us and spends the season on the sick bench, we will be royally stuffed. Lets hope he is of the same mould as Danny Williams, Hoppo etc and prepared to give his all.

Even if 22 signed (and it's just a few PR announcements) we would still be 3 short of a full first team squad. Given we used 38 players last year and have been closer to 30 + the last few, the gaps remain obvious. I am not clear we have u20s to suddenly call in as replacements in an emergency, as they are all in first team now.
