Quote: Moe Lester "The formation of a new club, be it in 2014 or 2015, should be the last thing on anyone's mind, in my opinion.
The key thing to do now, and this is purely my opinion, is to actually push on and actually form a Supporter's Trust.
Work out how much fees will be and if there will be different levels of membership, form a committee of people who have experience in specific areas (such as someone who works in finance as treasurer) and then, most importantly, work out at a public meeting what the Trust want to do, how they are going to go about achieving that and how long it will take.
I would also suggest making a professional offer (by letter, for example) to David Hughes, if he is to be chairman, to attend a meeting with the Supporters Trust so that the club and the Trust could liaise with each other about the future of the club.'"
I would get yourselves in touch with Supporters Direct if you haven't already. They proved very helpful to us (Wakefield) when setting up our Supporters Trust.
I wish you all the best because with the best will in the world getting the fans to buy into the idea is really difficult. Our Trust has been going for almost 3 years and we are really struggling to grow our membership. Maybe in your case it will be different as your aims are probably slightly different to what ours were, and as I said I wish you good luck with it.
Speak to Supporters Direct though, they would be very keen to help you with this I'm sure.
