AFAICS someone would be buying a club with 1/3rd of a squad, no ground, 1,000 supporters and almost certain relegation at the end of the season under the current rules (viz. limitations in recruiting overseas players and a likely 4pt deduction).

That makes a likely buyer to be either a rich fool besotted with RL in London or the RFL. If the RFL wants a SL club in London, it will need to decide to run the club itself or change the rules so it makes business sense to a potential buyer.

Sad news, as a Wigan fan I have always enjoyed the away day at London. And as a Rugby league fan London I feel has done a great deal for the game.
