Rovers in there hay day in the 70s had a following that had to be seen to be believed, dont be fooled by the pit village myth, there are 3 towns Ponte, Knottingley and fev that they pull considerable support from, we will do fine in the top flight no doubt about that. we have had hardly any funding from the RFL sinse 96 and yet have built 3 stands,while others given millions havent even had a lick of paint. we run an u19s with no funding from the RFL yet Huddersfield who get 100k to run theres gave rovers the game the other month unable to raise a team. The game needs a big shake up and we deserve our chance even in the licencing system

I think for the broader staff that is the issue. Add to that until they offer season tickets none of the fans do either.
