| Utterly depressing. The result and the attendance say it all. To quote Morrissey "London is dead".
As a self-confessed 'fair-weather fan' with an allegiance to a Northern team, I'm only enticed by the prospect of a competitive team and I'm continually frustrated by Broncos. They would appear to have lost two to three hundred fans this year and last- I'll bet it's down to the loss of the dual code Quins drifters that you used to see at matches and the fact that watching them is an utterly depressing prospect. They cannot defend, in attack, they occasionally have some good ideas and break through but often through the ball away/make silly errors. Dixon is a talent but I can't help but feel he's another Kevin Penny- his constant errors and inability to defend contributed a lot to the overall result tonight. I don't doubt Tony Rea's ability as a coach and I'm now indeed starting to feel sympathetic towards Powell- I don't think there's much you can do with this squad. Broncos are very much a bottom four club and I doubt Rea can do much about that with what he has. I suppose the one hope is that it's early days, but I'm struggling to foresee a season that is any better than last years. Until something improves, I'll be voting with my wallet.
I can't help but feel that London's gradual decline has coincided with the overall decline in Rugby League as a nationally popular sport and that the mid-nighties were a happy, idyllic time when we could get big numbers in to Wembley for international RL and Broncos could attract a sponsorship deal like Virgin, and make it to a Challenge cup final. If there is any hope for the club we need a 'Melbourne Storm' mentality- the RFL need to put money in to marketing the club and indeed, heaven forbid, help them with recruitment. I know that would never happen because of the mentality of many northern fans, but so be it, the club, and the game, will wither and die.
Sad times.

| What a crock of s#1T tonight. Other than the start of the 2nd half we were appalling. The highlight of the game was Dobson running out of the tunnel to the wrong end of the pitch at the start of the second half. We could be back to the foot of the table tomorrow afternoon... and as for the shockingly small attendance of 1837, well words fail me.

| It was a depressing result. But consolation in that London won the 2nd half 16-12.
For 2014:
Need to get rid of Howell and Witt.
Buy Minichiello, maybe 2 Minichiellos with Anthony as FB amd Mark as backrower.
Put Clubb into the centres, with Sarginson option as either centre or standoff.
Dorn at 6.
Find a centre of the calibre of Joel Moon. What about Jerome Ropati from NZ Warriors?
Meanwhile this year:
Put Colbon in the centre with Sarginson, and Michael Robertson on the wing.
Fire Gus McKay. Buy a professional marketing manager.

So you pick on Howell who wasn't even playing yet no word on your hero Dixon who got completely shown up last night?

| Must admit that even confused me, Dixon does have a raw talent no doubt but last night he showed that he is exactly that RAW
Overall though I think there are a couple of interesting issues here.
RL at the moment as a sport seems to be in a freefall decline
Cutback in sport England funding, national body cutting its staff massively
Reduced support for community teams
All smacks of a sport in crisis
Don't get me wrong some clubs still pulling biggest crowds for years but without grass route support its stuffed in the future

| well I'm glad that the consensus on here is that last night's performance was unacceptable after a fellow "fan" who was clapping off that load of rubbish felt the need to tell me off for making my opinion heard at full time and told me to go and support another team

| So, after a dreadful 2012, Tony Rea imagines that the best course of action is simply to ape Rob Powell's team selections and combinations in 2013? Result is predictable.
If Witt and Randall make next week's 17, I'm switching off. Only a fool would persist with those two. Similarly, only a fool would persist with our wide left-side defence of Gower-Sarginson-Dixon.
Still, the good news is that we have converted yet another running backrower into a prop - welcome Matt Cook. Not saying that Cook was anything less than excellent but who are we expecting will offer an option slightly wider when all our forwards are trundling middle units?

I'm with you rob13. A massive problem at the Broncos is the politeness of the fans in the face of substandard efforts. Too quiet when things go well; too quiet when things go badly. Applauding this e off leads to the same e being served up next time.

| Oh well, there is a silver lining to yesterdays result.
I've gone down with a flu bug for the past couple of days, so decided to give the game a miss yesterday. ( WHAT A GREAT DECISION THAT TURNED OUT TO BE !!!!!! )
It was painful enough watching it on the T.V. without having to travel 2 hours in each direction to watch the load of Poop served up on the pitch against H.K.R.
If it wasn't for the social aspect of the day & the good friends I have made during the years of follwing this club, I would seriously think about staying away each week.
Before the season began, I decided I would not make any judgements on the team & where they were likely to finish until after week 8.
Well, thats now 2 weeks away & I think I can safely say that with the team we currently have we'll be finishing in the bottom two.
Foolishly, I even had a £20 bet at 11-2, at the start of the season for us to finish in the top eight & thought I had a good chance of winning. Certainly don't think I have any chance at all now.
Somethings got to change, can't put up with this rubbish week after week !!!
