| For SL need 10,000 seats... cheaper to put in than building your own stadium.
Own offices... shop...

I believe that they are planning to use their 'training' stadium on what was Prince Edward Playing Fields adjacent to the Jubilee Line, between Canons Park and Queensbury. The three sided facility was only built a few years ago but has never seen a ball kicked in anger and on the last time I passed by, the pitch was one mass of very tall weeds.

Dagenham has a new stand (with bar), new floodlights & a new car park.
They've managed this on crowds about half what Gus has managed to rustle up during his tenure.
We'd probably be lucky if they took pity on us.

You're thinking of Feltham Arena - did a quick Google and it's now apparently derelict. Anything there would have to be built from the ground up which would be a good idea if we had the money.

| Barnet are indeed moving to King Edward Playing Fields, which is next door to their training ground I believe. The part finished ground they have built up was intended for Wealdstone FC but they ran out of money if I recall correctly.
Feltham Arena was plagued by issues in the latter years. For starters the main stand roof had to be removed - asbestos I seem to recall - whilst vandalism was a big issue. The future of the Arena is a bit of a political hot potato, not least since Mo Farah got involved in campaigning for it to be rebuilt. It was a multi sports arena and frankly unlikely to work as a RL ground. Feltham FC would probably be ahead of us in the pecking order politically too. All in all I doubt we will ever end up at Feltham.

| Feltham was once touted as a potential new home for Brentford FC, until [uthe fans [/umade it known to the Club and the Council, who were keen on the idea, that Brentford FC belongs in Brentford.
8 years later and after the fans took an interest in the club and on its board, a benefactor has been found, a new site, in the London Borough of Brentford found and plans have been drawn up.

| If we were going down the non-league club route then I'd look at Tooting and Mitcham. 3,500 capacity at the minute but with one touchline open. Put a stand on there and extend the current grandstand and you'd be close to SL requirements. It's also not that far from the current location so we won't lose any current fans - unlike the insanity of Gillingham which will mean starting from scratch.
Whether they'd be interested or not I have no idea.

| e mntione on here before, the dealmay already have ben done. If this is so, then there is no point at all in attempting to attract anyone to the games at the Stoop this year.
The Irony would be that if TR turns the team into top 5 contenders and we get crowds averaging 3,500 for the season........where would the myth regarding Twickenham not being good for us be then? Gus likes to take credit for imaginary successes....how would he be able to claim the increase of 25% was down to him, when he's trying to con his way into 2 more years salary with a move somewhere else because everything he says he's tried hasn't worked?
Gillingham will be the home of the Broncos in 2014........if we were close to signing in September last year, then all it will take is a 4k gate (regardless of freebies) and he'll have his justification (that isn't justified at all BTW).
I'd be keen to hear if anyone has received anything in the mail or via email regarding the first game of the season and bringing as many mates as possible down? No disrespect to Widnes, but this has to be a perfect opportunity for a "newbie" to witness a win!

| I don't believe Tooting & Mitcham actually own the ground. There is another company that owns / runs the ground. Famously planning permission banned AFC Wimbledon from playing a first team game there as a home team, due to concerns about transport issues, parking, impact on the locals. The ground owners did attempt to get that lifted not sure what happened. The imposition of that clause suggests a Superleague side rocking up may be a bit of an issue to some tbh.
If people think Twickenham is the back of beyond by public transport trying to get all of us to the Tooting ground by tram on a Sunday should be fun.
