interesting career move by Powell and I wonder if it will lead him back into a head coach role somewhere or whether he'll look to stay at the 'top' level but in purely a backroom role.

In 2011, his only full season in charge, the team lost by an average of 16 points a game.....officially the worst season of 17 in Super League....if Cardiff need help in defence, I suggest thsy vould have done a lot better than Towel
Its my understanding that he isnt the defence coach but more an individual/sub unit defence coach.
If he only has to focus on the contact, body positioning, movement and a small sub units connectivity and cohesion that cant be to difficult with his work only sitting within the greater defensive plan.
Good luck to him. He can only benefit from working with other coaches no matter what the sport.
