From this part of London you have to be really committed to want to go - you're not going to want to spend 3 or 4 hours on public transport for something you are lukewarm about.

I doubt that video cost anything like £10k to produce.
I've been a beneficiary of some of the vouchers before & it has encouraged me to come to games more often than I would have otherwise. But i dont come to all games. I'm already an RL fan, just found the atmosphere was lacking at the Stoop with poor crowds & poor games.
I've also tried to encourage other people along, but never managed to get them to come more than once. When I first moved to London I got a group of about 10 to come to a game from work. It was a good game, but none came back again (time it takes up to get to the ground so it effectively takes up nearly all day, the number of other things they have to do)
To be fair that video could have been made in house, with a broadcast quality vid and a simple editing package. Looking at it iDVD would have done the job never mind Adobe Premiere. Whether it was or not, I wouldn't know.
At times like this, I wish Gutterfax wouldn't brandish figures like £10,000 around without actually knowing. What happens is people get this £10,000 figure in their heads and think how it could have been better spent elsewhere, even though we don't know if it actually cost that or not.
You see, despite him having the greatest of intentions, (of which I do agree with most) this makes it look like the club has wasted money, when we don't know the facts. We don't know who or how it was put together. It paints the club in a negative light.
We should all be like that poster whose name escapes me and post like money isn't an object to the club. Simple things such as billboards and an advertising campaign on the local ITV network please. Let's not let pesky figures be mentoned.
