Sarginson can be lethal if we can get him one on one by getting the ball across quickly. Not the way we are playing ATM. I was made up when Dixon scored. He has a great determination in his game and is very quick - did you see him get up to support Dorn on his try. This try will give Dixon confidence to up his game further. We badly need him to score more tries. Thought Colbon had a big game all round.

Sarginson looks like the sort of kid who seizes his opportunity when it comes. He looked dangerous when he got the ball. Good footwork, good speed and defensively sound too. You'd have to say he's cemented that centre spot for the time being. I could see a big northern club coming in for him if he keeps that up. I hope he's on a long contract.

Gower was the key though. He basically steered the team around the park (enabled by a very solid pack performance), and just kicked Wakey to death. The way he kept dropping bombs just a yard or two in front of the Wakey try line was just all skill.

Not many negatives to take out of that, so it'll be nice to just focus on the positives until Thursday.

Catalans will be a stronger opposition than Wakey, but they also don't always travel well. I don't think we could go so far as to [iexpect [/ia win, but certainly on the back of that performance we can expect a real contest, and have realistic hopes for a victory.

I think DH should get a new contract out quickly for Sarginson with the sky team also rooling over his performances. We can't produce many quality SL players each season down south yet so its important we hold on to the ones we have.
We need to build the team around him. Not sure if he's strong enough to be a Centre though. He's a stand off IMO though im not sure about his kicking. but we have signed Witt for stand off.

I really enjoyed that game watching from the stands. Well done London, especially for keeping them at nil points

The big thing for me today was the few times wakey got close to our line how well we defended there!

Good solid basic rugby league from the boys, lets hope we can do the same next week against the auld enemy!

Fickle this rugby league malarky! Seems if you lose to London then you must be really crap and off with their heads. Let's hope we can do the same for a few others and revert to type. Thursday a much bigger test.

Why couldn't we have played like that before?

Confident, positive, organised display. Sarginson outstanding. Gower skilfull. Clubb I thought had a stormer. Our defence was much better, aided by some pretty one-dimensional play from Wakefield who just didn't seem up for it.

Fair play to the boys, I was absolutely fuming after Widnes and laid into them and Powell. They've responded in the best possible fashion.

Wakefield were the slowest opposition I have ever seen. They worked some good positions going left, but I think they only got through our line once, and then they threw an interception. Very poor.
