Sorry, but that is a set of excuses worthy of a 5yr old...all that was missing was "the dog ate my ticket"
1. The North London Derby would have little interest for anyone in West or South West London. It would have been watched by about 1,000,000 on Sky and 60,000 at the game......pretty big place London.
2. Public Transport is fine. Yes, a bit of engineering works is a pain in the butt, but, tubes ran to Richmond and all the bus routes in and out of Twickenham were as usual......I showed in another thread there were plenty of routes in and out of Twickenham for fans.....we just don't have enough fans.
3. 0% win rate is 0% win rate......this is still our team and as we have won absolutely Sweet Fanny Adams since we joined the Superleague, there is little or no room for fair weather fans.....if I only wanted to see my team win, then possible Widnes and Wakefield at home would be the 2 games I'd bother going to......being a London RL fans has little to do with "winning"
This incarnation of the club, we were informed, was the new begining, yet people who live withing 5 miles of the ground have gone on record as saying that there has been no activity to raise awareness in the immediate region.......Evening Standard, the clubs official media partner has no mention of the game on their site, neither has TNT, another "Sponsor"....as for best of Richmond, another sponsor, they don't even mention us in their directory........although our landlords to get a mention

By all means excuse the club for it's failings that are out of its control, but don't use public transport, a soccer match across town and a slow start to the season as an excuse.......1,970 was a disgrace for the second outing for a "new" club.
In business, you speculate to accumulate.......time for someone to get the cheque book out and pay for some top level promotional activity.
