Well Jones certainly gives Rugby League the oxygen of publicity we need.
I've heard South Africans say that they had never heard of Rugby League until the read articles by Jones, so for that we must thank him.

Wouldn't take notice of him TBH. Rmemeber Matt Dawson having a rant at him on Twitter. He's obsessed with us. If we're such a pathetic sport, why does he keep writing about us if we're no threat to Union. You don't see league journalists writing about Hockey, Basketball, handball bleating how much of a minority sports they are, because they are actually a minority sport so we don't pay attention to them.

Fact is RU in OZ is been engulfed by League, league is becoming an almost equal to Union in NZ, although probably wo't ever overtake Union, and over here in England, we are a hugely popular sport in the North of England, but Union is only popular in the south, it is non-existent in the North. Leeds Carnegie look as though they are finished, Sale do OK, Newcastle look to be following Leeds. Yes it is played in schools, but League is played in manys schools in London, doesn't make it a popular sport over there.

Stephen Jones is threatened by League, otherwise he wouldn't keep trying to belittle us.

Exactly. Stephen Jones has a real fear of Rugby League overtaking union otherwise why the constant attacks?
Also as you quite clearly point out do journalists from other sports constantly attack Rugby League, NO, why because unlike Stephen Jones they don't see Rugby League as a threat.
Anyway because of Stephen Jones constant attacks on Rugby League, and because union supporters and union players regard him as a laughing stock, Rugby League is becoming even more popular with supportets and players of union alike.
