| Whilst none of us expected to win yesterday I was hopeful after last week that we might make life difficult for Warrington !!!!!! Well how wrong you can be we basically gave them 18 points in the first ten minutes with some inept rugby league. Can someone please explain why Gale kicked on the 2nd or 3rd tackle deep in our half for their first try !!!!!
I'm sure that in the first ten minutes we only had the ball twice and only managed to complete 2 or 3 tackles in total.
The story of this season is basic schoolboy errors that get punished by nearly every team we play with a try, but when other teams make mistakes we generally give it straight back or show no inventivness in attack and hence no points.
Our defence is so placid, our tackling technique is so poor nearly all the teams we play are always on the front foot coming out of the tackle, we need to be more agressive and move up quicker in the defensive line.
Two things to my mind must happen this summer and that is we need to recruit well, will this happen ???? And we also need to improve the coaching of the team both in defence and attack, whether that means a new manager I'm not sure, but we need someone who has been there and done it at the highest level on the manager/coaches level.
For what it is worth we must keep Andy Ellis for next year and let Dan Sarginson play in most of the games as he has shown more skill and cleverness in attack in the last two games than I have seen from the whole team all season.
One last thing before I sign-off, I read someone saying that Calderwood didnt look interested yesterday, well I don't see it that way. Nearly all season we might as well not bother having wingers, we hardly every spread the ball wide and look to use our wingers, they normally get asked to come inside and drive it up the middle. This must have been our managers chosen tactics, because we have used Melling as a winger all season and nobody can tell me he is an out and out winger. Apparently according to some on here we do actually have some wingers in the reserves and 18's and 20's but none of them have made it into the first team, why ?

Asked a player about this and apparantly it was planned?????

100% agree.
What Randall has done to get his extension and use up a quota place I don't know. From all the things you read from Powell, it always says Randall helped me, has the experience, etc. maybe hes going to be assisstant coach or something like that next year?
Does anyone know if we are talking to Ellis?

Disappointing if true.'"
I suspect that Ellis may have been carrying an injury. Went off hobbling but did come back later. If so, could explain why he was on the bench.

| We have wonderful players in the U18 and U20 and they should be given an opportunity now, it would be good experience for them and I firmly believe the results would be better. Other teams blood their youngsters why not Quins? I have watched a number of the uder 20's and some of the players are better than 1st team players especially on the wings, maybe complacency in the 1st team is why we have such poor sub standard results and such defenceless boring poor quality games. Lister I agree with the last three comments you have made and that is worrying in itself
