Quote: hindyscrack "Simple but very effective half time entertainment
Junior League matches.... (5-10 year olds)
Would be a massive bonus for the club on several fronts.
- You bring up to 40 + kids to a game (with parents and family in tow)
- Much more entraining the the kids we have dancing now
- Another way of capturing future Quins fans by giving them the thrill of playing in front of a crowd in a genuine stadium
- Everyone loves watching the fat kid trawl up the field with 5 kids hanging off him
- Promotion of junior league in London and SE
These games take place all over Aus at half time, quick 10 minute match... The kids that get to participate are absolutely pumped after the experience.'"
I like that.
I'd also like to see themed days at home games as well, to add to the overall atmosphere. It's just as important to have a good show off-the-field, as on it, if we want to welcome families back.
For example:
Medieval day - Living up to our name and having jesters, juggling, knights, wizards, kids' run the gauntlet challenges, face painting, food etc. We could bring back that dragon mascot that was there on Saturday.
Beach party - Cocktails, smoothies, ice cream, inflatables, BBQ stalls, steel band etc. Obviously would have to take place in the summer months.
Those are just a couple of examples.
