Luke Ambler a young prop from Leeds has joined us on loan for a season . Dont know to much about him but does anybody else ?

I wondered if Mac would do us a few favours! Good on him, we need all the players we can get!

Favour? More like the Kid is in need of something to do for 12 months and we NEED players.

Ambler is an Irish international prop or second-row. Started at Salford before moving to Leeds in 2009. Will turn 21 in December and so too old for u20s. Looks a little podgy around the gut area, and only looked decent when Leeds were on top last season.

I've said it elsewhere but for us there is little difference in signing a player on a 1 year loan deal and a player signing on a 1 year contract. He is a welcome addition to the squad.

If he's anything like Luke Burgess we're on to a winner.

Even if it is a rumour at the moment about Ambler. At least for once with us taking a player from Leeds(BJB apart), the Leeds fan rate and want back. And again like with BJB they feel a season down with us could do him the world of good.

Now i have heard a rumour that we have signed former Hudd's HB, Tom Hemmingway whos been playing for Blackpool Panthers.



Cant find a link for it to confrim is true, just what i read on another forum's rumour page.

All i know about him is, he's 23yr and was king of kickers in 2008.

The last couple of years at the Giants he had a shoulder injury
he played on and off, and never let us down, exellent kicker, Giants have plenty of halves, so he was cut. Still young, could develope.
