he made the tackle and then instead of releasing the player he kept hold of his ankle as he tried to stand to play the ball, it was after the wakey player broke our line and we were chasing back
No doubt a pro foul which gives the ref no choice but to sin bin
In Dorns defence it was not obvious that the tackle had been completed, but at least we did not ship any points when we were down to 12 men
Real negatives today
AGAIN we passed the ball behind the attacking line, must have been 3 or 4 times today, ball which was then swept up by the opposition!
To many silly penalties giving away easy mtrs'"
Re Dorn's sinbinning, I guess the question is what would have happened if he'd let the Wakefield player carry on? Presumably it would have been a penalty to us. These sort of situations crop up a fair number of times, where the player in possession and/or the tackler are unsure of whether the tackle has been completed. I reckon refs should be a bit more definitive in calling "held".
One more negative is that we seem pretty clueless in the opposition 20. I appreciate, though, that we've not been in that situation too often this year!
On the plus side, it was good to see them playing the game at an increased tempo in some periods of the game.
