Quote: Dave Lister "Buying the season ticket represents an approx 33ish% saving if one were to attend all home games and sit in the Gold seats. And for those that travel by car, which, although you refuse to accept it, is a decent proportion of our support, another £65ish of car park savings. And all the other little things are simply a bonus that the club don't have to offer but they do anyway. Why don't you think thats a bargain?'"
Although I don't have a gold season ticket myself I can see the appeal of the £65 quid car parking saving. Last thing you'd want after a defeat (or a win) is to find your car has been towed away! Most of our support are scattered across the South East (approx 120 mile round trip to get to last week's game for myself, one of my group was up from Bournemouth so even further for him) rather than locals and i think it would be fair to say that with public transport not always lending itself well to a trip to the Stoop (weekend engineering work, no tube - ? Richmond closest at end of District Line) a lot our supporters will drive to matches as its often a lot less hassle.Don't get me wrong 'cos I'm not meaning to 'big up' the club but I don't see why a 33% discount on the best seats with £65 quids worth of free parking is considered by one poster on here to be a bad thing.
