I am not overly impressed by the squad but what I want to see more than one or two big names is a team on the pitch playing with desire, enthusiasm and to the best of their collective ability, and hopefully I will see more wins than losses.

Ropati would be an improvement on an empty jersey. Centre is Will Sharps favoured position, although anyone remembering the Cas game in 2008 when he played there will question whether he can defend in the centres.

Ropati will score a few tries for sure and we desperately need to improve on that score. A specialist who is comfortable at Centre has to be better than someone 'filling in'. Cant depend too much on young Bishop. Id rather play May than someone just 'filling in'

I remember watching Jamie O'Callaghan play centre for Middlesex youth rugby union. He was outstanding. I think London Irish wanted to sign him.

He's big enough, good defence, has pace and a good pair of hands.
19 years of age and young enough to be educated in the art at league.

I think it's worth a educted gamble especially in pre-season.

Im a big supporter of Jamie but I'd put money on BM playing Melling or Clubby instead
