| he is a very good championship player, and perhaps with a couple of growth spurts he'll become a decent player to have in SL for you

well you can do one as well then
Please list the off-contract players that we should have signed. 22 Years of age and behind the likes of Burgess, Scruton, Lynch and Kopczak isn't a reflection on how good or bad the lad is, just a fact that Bradford have a number of good props already.
Welcome [url=http://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/player/84/Matt%20JamesMATT[/url [url=http://www.halifaxrlfc.co.uk/article.php?id=263 =redJAMES[/url....hope your fit after your lay-off.

completely agree, but as poor as the squad is atm they do have a decent front row. Burgess and Lynch are as good as anyone in the country

Burgess has been playing loose forward for most of this season. Bradford's pack is nothing special at all.
James could be playing tonight against Barrow if he gets over his hand injury.

Disagree. Their pack have played badly this year, but Lynch and Burgess have stats better than LMS and Scruton is only just behind our England International prop.
The Fax fans think this Kid is of SL standard and they seem sad to see him leave......let's give him a chance.
I am still waiting for the list of off-contract, non quota props we should have signed.

Haha. Yes of course, you cant POSSIBLY criticise a signing unless you provide a list of players who the club should sign instead
Why are we even talking about their pack anyway? We are talking about props. Burgess has been playing LOOSE FORWARD. i.e not competing with Matt James for a place. Scruton is very average, Lynch is a good player but I await this list of players that has been stopping Matt James from playing Super League rugby that is oh so desperately impressive.
Which Fax fans think this kid is SL standard? Most I have read consider him a decent enough NL player.

| Most teams operate with 4 props anyway. Rant on about how good Scruton and Lynch are, the fact is McNamara reckoned he wasn't up to SL.

| Why are the club incapable of signing any exciting players? The backs have to be the dullest in Superleague.

| I'd sooner give an academy lad a run out and spend Matt James' salary on a decent player. NL standard as one of their main signings is not what a team which finished 11th in the table needs.

| At 22 he has 30 odd appearances for Bradford and has played international football.
My primary concern is that he is another prop / second-row forward. At 95kg he is too lightweight, and a little slow to play in the back-row.
At 6ft, he is no pocket battleship like Sam Thompson (looked as wide as he was tall from what we saw of him) so he can add the weight on. With Wilkes and James onboard we have two very mobile props to add to LMS, I just worry about the go forwards in the hard yards that a second tier super league side will have to make.
I think with the loss of Heckenburg and Haggerty to essentially their injuries we have assessed the problem and gone for a solution; guys who will be there every game. We did something similar when following the 2008 the coaching staff noticed that our back-row was defensively weak; the outcome was that we brought in two solid and robust NRL back-row forwards. This lack of sparkle in the second-row has left a number of fans asking questions.
My point is that the club has identified the issue of props being unavailable. They have ticked that box, unfortunately in their short-sightedness they have simply created another problem.
I hope to be corrected with the annoucement of the signing a rotund meter eater shortly. I'm not asking for Steven Price, but I'd be happy with a Jamie Thackray. The alternative is that grunt-work for Quins will leave us falling short in terms of meters made, then kicking from poor positions, and we all know how poor our long range kicking is.
