Brian McDermott had this to say before Castleford

Quote
“There is obviously the temptation to look at the season, certainly recently, and say we have failed in some way.
“But the fact of the matter is that if we win our last two games we are still in there, and that is a massive carrot to dangle in front of the players.
“How we have performed over the last couple of months does not matter now - all that matters is these final two games.
“We have been written off in most quarters due to our form and if we can turn things around and make the play-offs from here it will be a real story.”
Quins have the weekend off this week due to the Challenge Cup final, allowing the likes of Danny Orr, Chad Randall and Rob Purdham the chance to overcome persistent injuries.
But with David Howell, Karl Temata and Chad Robinson out for the season, McDermott admits his side are still far too stretched.
He added: “The simple fact is we have a limited squad, and when we lose players we often have to dip into our academy sides.
“But although those guys are showing a lot of promise, they are not ready for the top level yet.
“That will be the main target for our recruitment this off-season - bringing in players to bulk out the squad, to give our youngsters the time they need to develop.”
Despite all the bluster, with only one win in ten games it will take a major effort from the Londoners to book their place in the top eight.
And McDermott accepts that failing to do so would prove a bitter pill to swallow.
He added: “If we do not make the play-offs it will have been a failure.
“Not for me personally, but certainly for the club.
“I’m glad we have the ambition to make the play-offs, and I do not think we should stop aiming high.
“But if we do not make it we will have to sit down and assess what went wrong, and come back stronger next season.” '"
Makes me wonder exactly what McDermott would see as a personal failure

He doesn't know what is going wrong but its not his fault. Maybe there should be campaign to refuse to buy season tickets until he goes.
