| Quote stormingbronco="stormingbronco"Perhaps the best thing would be the the 3pm kick-off also be moved to the Richmond College pitch.......am certain both sets of supporters would like the idea of 'standing' really close to the 'action', unless it rains that is!!
While on the subject of next season's game day......well the Club has tried both Saturday and Sunday plus even sometimes Friday with little real increase so for 2010 let's be 'original' and become the first Superleague team to 'do it on Monday nite'......after all the NRL play one game a week on that day.
.....what have QRL to lose,,,,,,,a few away fans.....but it will show who the real 'hardcore' supporters really are. Think a 750 to 860 gate would be great.
However, should add that after 29 seasons as a 'regular' at our many grounds have had enough and will not be wasting anymore cash on a season ticket. The club as it is at present - in name, in management, in player quality and in 'ownership' - a disgrace to the name of rugby league.
Would rather spend my money travelling to Perpignan three/four times a season to watch the Catalan play top 'homeland' teams in front of knowledgeable fans that having to sit in the East Stand among the current idiots that are our fan base watching a second grade squad offering poor quality entertainment.
So bye bye all of you.......in particular the 'majority' for whom the 'great game' is a secondary sport......and as such can never become 'real' supporters.
Have a nice end of season........
Ciao.....'"
I see you have needed to make the same announcement on more than one thread, seem to remember you made the same announcement about being of to Catalans this same time last year .... August blob month for you or something?

| Quote Fan50="Fan50"If you are driving there are road works on the M25 between the M4 and M40 which will slow you down a bit also M25 tends to be slow between the M4 and M3 junctions.
Traffic in the Twickers area will be hit and miss. just looked on the Quins RL site and they say parking at the Stoop is limited on Saturday. All other car parks are under the control of the 7's organisers, so they say. Pricing may be a bit iffy!
Leave the car at the hotel and try the bus!!!'"
Dont worry about that, that was always the plan
Quote Fan50="gutterfax"Nope.....267 from Brentford to Twickenham gets re-routed when there are things going on at RUHQ.
The best way is to get a 65 bus the other way to Richmond, have a couple of beers there and then jump on the train to Twickenham. If you are feeling fitter, you can walk from Richmond to Twickenham stopping at the occasional ale house...it's about 3 miles (and 6 pubs)'"
Revised time we're now leaving at 7.30am just in case. Cheers guys see you Saturday.

Hung by their own petard! If I know the Aussies they will be pretty wasted after the game anyway. I bet they hold a good line!

SATURDAY 15th AUGUST 2009
ENGAGE SUPER LEAGUE.
=Purple:32332nktHARLEQUINS RL:32332nkt 22 v 26 =Red:32332nktSALFORD CITY REDS:32332nkt
KO: 3pm
Venue: The Stoop.:32332nkt[/i:32332nkt
Harlequins' play-off hopes took a massive dent after a late Luke Swain try gave struggling Salford a dramatic victory at the Stoop.
Quins looked set for a crucial win when second-half tries from Rob Purdham and Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook put the home side 22-14 up with five minutes left.
But Salford turned the game on its head with tries from Steve Nash and then Swain in the closing moments.
Quins have now suffered eight defeats in their last nine games.
It is a huge turnaround in fortunes for a side that was sitting fourth in the Super League table back in June.

| They won, I think it was 30 - 22.
Fairly close game with Quins slightly on top until Salford had a player red carded for punching.
Quins then got ahead 30 - 16 and Salford pulled one back right at the end.
Downside was Joe Mbu (ankle)& Dylan Skee (shoulder) both looked as though they picked up injuries.
Good team performance, with O'Callaghan, May & Williams all looking good
