| I don't get this stand debate. I really miss being able to cheer the team off at the end of a game but 30 seconds after kick off I'm absorbed in the match. Only notice the sun when I jump up to cheer a Quins try and my sun glasses fall off! A recent recruit to RL I've been to two away games - Crusaders and Hull KR, based on those experiences we have a fantastic stadium and the East stand is still far better than what's on offer at either of those grounds. Atmosphere may be an entirely different discussion.

At last some sanity. We have the best rugby stadium in the country. Yes it was sunny, get over it. I do like the idea that we could all be in the Lexus and then move for the Sky games, seems like a good compromise until gates of finances pick up.

| I like watching at the Stoop too - but I can see much better from the Lexus than the East. The fact that our stadium is better than most will hardly be a factor to those we are trying to attract new to the game - so we should offer attendees the best we can, not forgetting they can always sunbathe, drink and talk to others at many other places.

I'll say it again.
Next year, if we must stay in the East Stand (rather than the west stand ) then allocate 3 mid sections for ST's and the rest un-allocated for Home fans. When playing Celtic, French, Salford, Hudds and Wakey then alocate AA to their fans. Tape it off if need be, but keep them in there.
For the other teams (averaging over 3,000 gates since 2000 season) open the North.

| Been on holiday so just read all this
Quote Sky have set the criteria, they are the pay master- nothing more we can do.
Are you sure of that fact? Why has it not been implemented in other clubs, why only Quins. Shame Boss Hogg is not around to verify.
On health grounds I fully agree with people on here having watched my sister have a very long lingering painful death with skin cancer I hate sitting in the sun for long. I suffer from Diabetes and the sun in my eyes hurts and causes damage over a prolonged period. Some love the sun, some don't. We shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable by any fans because our preference is to sit in the shade.
The sun in your eyes does spoil the game for some, everyone should be listened to we are paying customers and when the views of all are heard a democratic decision reached. I know of a number of people who will not renew tickets next season and we cannot afford to loose a single paying customer.

| Being in the shade spoils the game for me as I get cold and prefer a warmer temperature.
Swings and roundabouts.
I could put on a jumper like others could put on sunglasses, a hat or even sun cream. Sun doesn't automatically equal skin cancer.
Not everyone can be happy but we can't move the whole stand based on a minority who don't like the sun for various reasons. Thousands of people lining beaches enjoy the sunshine tells you where the majority is.

Great link.
Quote BroncOnIon"Enjoy the sun safely this summer," says Rebecca Russell of Cancer Research UK's SunSmart campaign. "Spending time under beach umbrellas, wearing hats and beach cover-ups and using sunscreen are all ways to enjoy your beach holiday while reducing your risk of skin cancer."'"
And yer I suppose sitting on a beach for hours on end is comparable to 80 minutes with a break half way through.
Worst argument ever.
