| Its surely obvious. Whatever else, the East Stand is further away from the pitch. Yes of course you can still see, but its not as good a view as being in the Lexus.

| Quote wire-quin="wire-quin"I really struggle with what is up with the east stand.
When you consider what Saints, Cas, Wakey, Reds, and even some football clubs have the east stand is very favourable. It seems to fill up for the union team.
Last time at the Stoop the Lexus/LV didn't exists. We are spoilt for choice.
In the summer it is in the sun with a bar underneath, what more could you ask for.'"
But we did have the almost full every game, West Stand. c/w bar.

| Quote The Penguin="The Penguin"My preference would be open the East stand and the north stand. Stick the away fans in the north stand, overspill into the nearest corner of the East Stand. The rest is for quins fans, allocated for ST holders and the rest unallocated. Seems simple to me and preferable to the arrangement where we also open the south stand for between 50 and 100 spectators.'"
Surely this is the most logical solution...

UK licensing law? I don't think so.
Its because people in Hull can't be trusted to drink in their seat and additional laws at a local level have had to be made.

No it isn't, it's a requirement of the local authority when agreeing the liscence. It is also to make life easier for stewards as you can't drink in view of the pitch for football, saves confusion.
But carry on, you're funny.

Nope
It's more to do with being able to employ the cheapest possible stewards!

It is not licensing law mate, it is restriction put on the stadium by the council so you could get a safety certificate, you can't be trusted to have a drink and behave by the sounds of it. Most people can differentiate between football and rugby.

It was a condition of the certificate yes, you may want to attach some other reasoning behind it, fwiw I like the fact that people aren't pushing backwards and forwards during the game anyway.
Having such a high opinion of yourselves as Quins fans is a really good way to win favour, honest.
