They have a [url=http://www.edinburgh-conference.com/Conference Centre[/url with almost 200 rooms available all year round. The "Book Online" link on this page takes you to a site called "Visit Scotland" where you can book rooms here, and presumably elsewhere if you follow the links. Not sure how many are left, but I only booked a week or two ago.
I suspect it's one of those well kept secrets that aren't widely publicised and most people don't know about. Another example is the Welsh Institute of Sport in the centre of Cardiff, right next to the county cricket ground at Sophia Gardens, where I stayed for a similar price at the Magic Weekend there. Also Durham University, where I was able to stay in student accommodation in Durham Castle during the vacation while I was up there for a cricket match. That was great as you literally get a key to the castle, which lets you in late at night through a small hatch type door set into the main castle gates.
If I'm ever wanting to stay somewhere touristy where accommodation is generally expensive I always check out any local universities etc. as there's often a bargain to be had.

Yes thanks, they're just not staying in the same room as me!
