The Skolars friendly will be here before you know it but meantime, I will be riding my neddy a bit more (fat little swine needs the exercise), watching the odd QuinsRU game starting this week, catching a few Bromley and Welling games and maybe a few race meetings including the great Beer festival meeting at Ascot on 24th September



And then there's the bleedin C word to contend with...

Grand final with Listy et al in October. After that, god knows. I move back to London in December so a couple of weekends will be taken up househunting then moving again.

Going to the grand final (along with visiting the folks), I'll make the Wallington beer festival for the first time in about 5 years because it doesn't clash with GF this year, then I'm not sure. I've been saying for about 7 years that I'll go and watch a game of chavball at Whyteleafe FC, but seeing as they're now a 10 minute drive away instead of a 10 minute walk away I'll probably put it off for another 7 years. Maybe I'll go and watch some union at Warligham RUFC, if only for an excuse to go for a beer with a mate (he's a Quins supporter too). But my wife and daughter will keep me occupied with a million and one things till the Capital Challenge comes around.

I will hibernate. Hope for the best and dream of a team winning more home games than losing playing attractive rugby and a club that communicates with it's growing number of fans. Well I can dream can't I? Oh I dream that the Skolars get their act together and continue their improvement! I may well take take in games by those jolly green giants of the non-league football scene: Hendon and Salford City, no doubt jinxing them both!
