| Seen the drubbing at Warrington, seen Watson interview and seen Ken Daveys statement and none of them are good enough now.
Performance - not even championship standard, no threat of scoring and pitiful defending meant Warrington didn’t need to do anything spectacular in what ended up as a training run. I accept we had a few players missing so could mean attacking could be a bit clunky but the truth is it was the same as any other week and offered nothing. There is no excuse for the defending though, these are all full time professionals and it should be a basic requirement to be committed and able to tackle.
Watson - Players fault for not being fully committed to the cause and not being good enough.
But this is essentially HIS team and most of these are his choice so has he made bad choices (yes!) and is he now unable to put a competitive side on the field that is highly motivated? It would seem so and publicly blaming the players won’t help his cause.
We are now 3.1/2 years in to his reign and performances are getting worse, it is widely thought we are awful to watch (agreed) and offer little or nothing to Super League (agreed).
I would like to know how he justifies defeat after defeat and abysmal rugby to whoever he is answerable to.
Ken Davey - we all appreciate what he has done and is still doing, but I have to say that he now shoulders some responsibility for allowing this to go on. Last season could be taken as a blip and this year would see us bounce back but the rugby is not exciting and the performances and results are poor at best. Fans are deserting and losing interest so an already small support base will shrink further and be comll ppl Evelyn lost in a stadium that is far too big
I don’t know who Watson answers directly to but I believe the owner, the Chairman and the Managing Director/ Chief Exec need to have a serious review of the club as a whole because unless results and style improve on the pitch, and without becoming more high profile within the town there will be one man and his dog watching before long.
I have been supporting them for longer than I care to remember and have never felt so disillusioned and unenthusiastic towards them, it was more enjoyable when we entered SL and we’re getting pummelled every week, at least then we had few expectations weren’t the big spenders we allegedly are now

| Great post, spot on. Enjoyed the days where we would fight to the last, with championship players, but they gave a great deal. Recruitment has been poor. Which other club has lost possibly its two best players this season for next year mid season. Shocking message to fans.

| Feel exactly the same, i started watching when Murphy took over as coach, and the rise through the divisions and then eventually through superleague was far more enjoyable than the dross we have served up for the last few years. I have said all i need to say about Watson, and i said it a long time ago. He has no idea as a coach and whoever is responsible for recruitment is likewise clueless. I have at best a passing interest until Watson is gone, and preferably some of the managerial staff at the giants with him. We are an utter shambles in regard to getting value for money from players and the coaching setup if Ken does not sack Watson quickly he seems to have given up as well.

| That interview was a man under a serious amount of pressure from both the outside & inside the club.
Part of me feels for him, yes we've all had our say about him and we've all certainly questioned alot of what he does, including his coaching methods and recruitment.
But when I hear what I hear about how they've worked hard on the training field & prepared for Wire and then it comes to the game & we then go totally against what they've been training on all week, that's on the 17 that take to the pitch, its those that have to start taking some of the flak as well in all this.
Those players have been signed to represent our shirt, Watson has put his trust in said players and they've let him down & the fans down, it could be a number of reasons :
They simply aren't good enough to be a SL player
There egos are bigger than what they should be
The coaching isnt upto scratch
The coaching staff have lost the confidence of the players and they are just biding there time before Davy acts.
Personally I think it's all the above, especially after what a certain young Pryce said in the papers not 3 days ago.
He goes on a rant about how the thought he was coming to a top 4 club........
We aren't it's as simple as that, we've flirted with the top 4 but the likes of :
Wigan
Saints
Leeds
Catalans
KR
Wire
All bigger clubs than us, our support is dire and it has been for years, we don't deserve a SL team.....
As for recruitment, that's on Watson & his team - which I believe is Thewlis.
Far too many players are being paid extortionate wages for very little return, he compares us to the likes of Wigan, Saints, Leeds, we spend the same as them but yet we've continually sign 30+ players and they get 3 year deals.
The one thing that sticks in my mind, since we signed Burgess is his brother - the Wire coach, said even they couldn't compete with what we were offering, yet, look at there team compared to ours, plus they've got Luke Yates now, who's boots will leave a massive hole in our pack.
In his defence a tiny bit, his 2nd season (I think) where we had Levi at hooker we were superb to watch, he's never replaced him with a genuine hooker and we're currently running with Goulding & Milner, with the latter being utter dross and shouldn't be anywhere near the match day squad.
Apologies for going on - but it won't be getting much better, I look at out fixtures and I can't see where our next 2 points are coming from.
This isn't just on Watson, this is on the entire Huddersfield Giants.

| Welsh I agree with all your reasons for our poor performances and if things are left as is I don’t see any improvement.
I have been gobsmacked with the recruitment of bang average players over the Watson regime, several of them having played for him previously so I find his criticism of the players a bit strange - he knew what they were getting!
Anybody who seems to be a “star” seems to be got rid of- Jake Wardle being a prime example - so I don’t see how anybody within the club can seriously talk about challenging the likes of Wigan and Saints, which is why I believe there is a big shake up behind the scenes needed with an influx of knowledge and enthusiasm needed.
They have a massive issue with attendances and there are a few things that need to change to have any chance of improving them, the stadium being one of the issues.
8 out of our last 10 games are at home and with our home form so far that’s hardly a positive so it’s to be hoped that turns around or the attendances for the last few games will be even more abysmal than they have been, I will be there hoping for the best but if it is just a continuation of the season so far I think that will be it for me - that could label me as not a real supporter but after 60 yrs I would dispute that and put it down to frustration/ annoyance/ realisation that the club is inwardly not what it tries to project outwardly.

I have been saying for a long time now that the club is a joke and i really believe it is, What i don't understand is how a successful business man like Mr Davy can seem to be so poor at owning and running a league club, I can't believe he hasn't grasped that something is dreadfully wrong at the club, he is obviously a clever man to be where he is so why the club is such a mess i don't know. I don't believe in his financial business ( in which he has been so successful ) he has been surrounded by people who cant do the job but that appears to be the case at the Giants. regards I Watson it is disappointing that he never seems to take any responsibility for any part of the miserable performances, it is always someone else's fault , the interview after the wolves game was a disgrace and i wouldn't be at all surprised that the players don't want to play for him after what he said. I don't think he can motivate them at all and each year whoever seems to hit some form and turns out to be our best players go to another club ,and worse still they announce it mid season, what sort of message does that send to the fans.
I've been supporting them for a long time now after originally being a Wakey fan but i packed in half way through last season and i haven't been at all this season.
You hesitate to tell such a successful man as Mr Davy he has got something wrong but i'm sorry to say something is shockingly wrong and unless he finds the answer which i believe he will only do by having massive changes i fear the club is destined to fall ever lower, I hope he bites the bullet soon, He must know that after the length of time he has had the club and the money he has plowed in he has had so little success there must be something wrong.
